4th Mediterranean Film Festival Split |

Mediterranean Film Festival Split will be held for the fourth time in the city of Split (Croatia); 1700 years old Mediterranean town, from June 11th - June 18th 2011.
The festival will screen 30 feature and short films from the Mediterranean region in the main competition. The screenings will be held outdoors and indoors; in an open-air cinema Bacvice and in a cinema Zlatna Vrata in the center of the Diocletian's palace. Our aim is to present the Mediterranean culture and film production the best way we can, especially since this is the only festival of Mediterranean film in this part of Europe. Films are not all the festival has to offer - during the Festival educational program "FilmInkubator" will take place. Young filmmakers from all over the region will participate in workshops, panel discussions, lectures and meetings with festival guests. Concerts, parties, exhibitions and round tables will also be a part of the event, bringing the Mediterranean closer to all who wish to be a part of the festival. With attendance of more than 20.000 people during the previous three years, this festival become an important centre for presenting films in this part of the world. |
